Shipping a car in Honokaa

Honokaa is covered as part of our Hawaii County, Hawaii service area, with Waimea (Hawaii Island) about 20 mi away and Hilo (35 mi) and Kailua-Kona (35 mi) also on the network. Rates here track the corridor a vehicle joins rather than the size of the pickup town.

Honokaa works as a standalone pickup within reach of Waimea (Hawaii Island) (20 mi), Hilo (35 mi) and Kailua-Kona (35 mi). A Hawaii run through this area may take in Waimea (Hawaii Island) on the same trip before heading out on inter-island barge lanes and H-1/H-2 connector routes. That is why pickup is quoted as a window of days rather than a set hour: the arrival time depends on the stops booked around yours.

Elsewhere in Hawaii County we also collect in Hawaiian Ocean View, Hawaiian Paradise Park, Hilo and Kailua-Kona and 6 more. A booking that shares a truck with a neighbouring pickup is usually the cheaper option, so it is worth mentioning if you are moving more than one vehicle.

Before you book

Carrier checks and vehicle preparation are the same for a Honokaa pickup as for any other, so they are covered once rather than on every city page. Before pickup, ask for the carrier's MC or USDOT number to look up on FMCSA SAFER and for its cargo insurance certificate. How to prepare your car for shipping covers the wash, fuel level and personal items, and the Bill of Lading guide explains the condition report you sign at both ends.
