Who arranges your transport, and who performs it.
What Auto Transport Pros is
Auto Transport Pros is a referral service. We connect people who need a vehicle shipped with independent auto transport brokers and motor carriers, referred to on this site as our transport partners. We are not a broker or a motor carrier, we do not hold operating authority from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and we do not arrange, dispatch or perform vehicle transport.
Our partners
Every broker and carrier we connect callers with is licensed and insured. The partner you are connected with quotes your shipment, books it, assigns the carrier and is responsible for the move. Your agreement for the transport is with that partner and the carrier, not with Auto Transport Pros.
Fees and payment
Calling Auto Transport Pros is free. Prices, deposits, payment methods and cancellation terms are set by the partner who books your shipment, not by us. Confirm them, including whether any deposit is refundable, before you agree to a booking. Auto Transport Pros may be paid by the partners we refer callers to.
Prices, dates and estimates on this site
Distances, transit windows and price ranges shown on this site are general estimates for comparison. They are not quotes. Your actual price and pickup window come from the partner who quotes your shipment and depend on the vehicle, the route, the season and carrier availability at the time.
Checking the companies involved
Ask for the MC or USDOT number of the partner that books your move and of the carrier assigned to it, then look both up on the FMCSA SAFER system to confirm their authority is active. Ask the carrier for its cargo insurance certificate and check that the limit covers your vehicle. Federal rules require cargo insurance only for household goods movers, so the certificate is the way to confirm what cover applies to a car.
Damage and claims
Inspect the vehicle with the driver at pickup and again at delivery, and record any damage on the Bill of Lading before you sign. Claims are made to the carrier and its insurer, with the help of the partner that booked the move. Auto Transport Pros is not a party to the transport contract and is not liable for loss, damage or delay in transit.
Photographs
Photographs on this site illustrate vehicle transport in general. They do not show our partners' staff, trucks or premises, or any customer's vehicle.
