How Auto Transport Pros Works
Auto Transport Pros is a car shipping referral service. One call connects you with a licensed, insured auto transport partner who quotes, books and dispatches your move. Here is what happens after you dial.
Who you are calling
Auto Transport Pros is a referral service. We are not a broker or a motor carrier, we hold no transport authority of our own, and we do not own trucks. When you call, we take the details of your shipment and connect you with an independent auto transport partner. Every broker and carrier we work with is licensed and insured.
The partner quotes the move, books it and assigns the carrier that drives your vehicle. Your agreement, your payment and any claim sit with that partner and the carrier, which is why their names and paperwork matter more than ours.
From the call to delivery
On the call. Have both ZIP codes, the year, make and model, whether it runs, and your earliest pickup date. Modifications, low clearance or an oversized vehicle change the equipment needed, so mention them now.
The quote and booking. A licensed partner quotes against your actual route and dates. Fees, deposit and cancellation terms are set by that partner, so confirm them, and whether any deposit is refundable, before you agree.
Pickup and delivery. The carrier and you inspect the vehicle together at both ends. Note any damage on the Bill of Lading before you sign at delivery; that record is what a cargo insurance claim rests on.
Checking a partner yourself
Brokers and carriers must hold active authority from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Ask for the MC or USDOT number of whoever books your move and of the carrier assigned, and look both up on the FMCSA SAFER system. Ask the carrier for its cargo insurance certificate too, and check the limit against what your vehicle is worth.
Coverage
Coverage takes in 50 states and 2,922 cities, listed on the car shipping locations page, with 109 published car shipping routes carrying reference pricing. Routes outside that list are quoted against the nearest lane a carrier can join, and the ten car shipping services explain when open, enclosed or specialist transport fits.
Why quotes are by phone
An accurate rate depends on details a form handles badly: whether a full-size hauler can reach the address, how flexible your dates are, whether the vehicle runs, what modifications it carries. A short call settles all of it. Calling is free, and the full terms of the service are on our disclaimer page.
