Delivery Newark NJ

Route overview

Up the Cajon Pass on I-15, across the Mojave to Las Vegas and through the corner of Arizona into Utah, where I-70 takes over and climbs east over the Colorado Rockies to Denver. Out on the Nebraska plains the truck joins I-80 for the long haul through Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania into North Jersey.

Colorado sets the winter pace. Between Grand Junction and Denver, I-70 runs through Glenwood Canyon and up to the Eisenhower Tunnel, above 11,000 feet, and snow or rockfall can shut the road for hours. From December through March, leave some give in the delivery date.

At the Newark end, the driver usually phones the day before and again a few hours out. A loaded carrier can’t sit long on a busy street, so keep your phone close and know where the truck can pull over.

FAQs

California to New Jersey: what comes first in the price?
Season first: long moves out of California tend to bunch up in summer, which pushes rates on this lane up. Then the vehicle: a full-size pickup or an enclosed trailer sits above a standard car, and a car that won’t run adds the cost of winching it on and off.
Can the car come back west later?
Yes. Newark to Los Angeles is the westbound version of this trip, on the same interstates in reverse.
Can the truck deliver to a Newark street address?
Often, if the block is wide enough for a long carrier to stop without blocking traffic. If it isn’t, the handover moves to a parking lot a few blocks away, settled with the driver before delivery day.
