Shipping a car in Tomah

Tomah is a small Monroe County, Wisconsin community of about 9,574 residents. The closest WI city we cover is Onalaska, about 35 mi away, which is what makes a door pickup practical here. Where a full-size trailer cannot reach the address, we agree a meet point at the time of booking.

Tomah is comparatively isolated among the cities we cover. The nearest city we serve is Onalaska, roughly 35 mi away, and that gap is the single biggest factor in scheduling here. A pickup this far out is easier to place on a run already heading toward I-94, I-90, and I-43 than to arrange on its own, so expect a wider collection window and, on some loads, a meet point nearer the interstate. Lead time is worth more here than in most of Wisconsin.

Distances from Tomah to the larger markets around it: Madison, WI at about 100 road miles, Milwaukee, WI at about 170 road miles and Minneapolis, MN at about 185 road miles. Distance decides more of a long-distance rate than anything else, so those numbers are where a quote starts. Our published corridors of comparable length, 105 to 245 miles, quote $400 to $600 for a sedan on an open trailer, which is the frame for a quote from here rather than a price for it.

Before you book

Carrier checks and vehicle preparation are the same for a Tomah pickup as for any other, so they are covered once rather than on every city page. Before pickup, ask for the carrier's MC or USDOT number to look up on FMCSA SAFER and for its cargo insurance certificate. How to prepare your car for shipping covers the wash, fuel level and personal items, and the Bill of Lading guide explains the condition report you sign at both ends.
